Nine-section framework · Refreshed weekly

Your slides aren't the problem.

Investors just don't believe you.

We run your deck through a nine-section framework and tell you exactly what's killing investor belief.
Every gap named. Every rewrite spelled out. Scored against what investors are actually reacting to this week, not best practices from 2019

Ex-Meta marketing · 20+ years B2B storytelling · Pre-seed to Series A

They said they'd circle back.

They didn't.

And you don't know which slide lost them.

Most decks don't fail on data. They fail on narrative. The investor felt something was off by slide 4 and tuned out by slide 7. The Narrative Diagnostic tells you exactly where and why.

Why this is different

The rubric updates every week. Most don't.

Start with the assessment. Then decide what to do with it.

You get your diagnostic

Most founders have it within 48 hours: all nine sections scored, every gap named, every fix spelled out.

Priority order before the next investor meeting

Not everything below needs to be done at once. This order reflects the gap that will cost you most if it is not addressed first.

  1. 1.Move the customer quote to slide 2. It is the strongest line in the deck and is currently invisible to most investors. Attribution in full: name, title, company.
  2. 2.Rebuild the competitive slide. Name five to seven players an investor would search after the meeting. Show differentiation against the real field.
  3. 3.Show the revenue bridge. The path from current ARR to the Series A target needs to be constructed, not stated. Customer count, ACV, and timeline assumptions.
  4. 4.Acknowledge the GTM hire gap on the team slide. One line naming the profile and the plan. This needs to be said before an investor says it.
  5. 5.Open the problem slide with a specific failure case. The named customer story belongs in slide 2, not traction.

What is working

The A.C.M.E. AI brand is clean and the deck is professionally rendered. The visual identity does not create friction.

What needs to change

"The fastest way to ship AI features" describes a category of intent rather than a specific claim about what A.C.M.E. AI does or why it matters. An investor who does not know the company will read this and still not know whether you have built a workflow tool, an inference layer, or a managed service.

Direction
  • Replace the tagline with a single line that names the specific problem and the type of team it is for.
  • Add a one-line descriptor beneath the company name identifying what A.C.M.E. stands for and where it comes from.

Pricing

Start with the assessment. Decide what to do with it.

The highest-leverage two weeks of a raise are the two before you start sending the deck. The $749 assessment gives you a scored read on all nine sections, the gaps an investor will clock in the first ninety seconds, and the rewrite order that closes them — before a single partner has formed an opinion.

Already in conversations? It still works. It just costs you fewer meetings to act on.

Pre-raise Assessment

$749

Nine sections, every gap named, and rewrite direction for each one. Covers everything not in a quick read of the deck. Most founders have it in 48 hours.

Full Assessment + Editorial

$1,599

For founders who want the narrative to stay in their voice. You implement the fixes; I edit what you write in one pass across the full presentation with tracked changes and margin notes — so you know it's landing before an investor sees it.

Full Deck Rewrite

$3,499

For founders who'd rather spend the next two weeks on investor conversations than slide rewrites. I write it. You approve it.

Whichever tier you choose, the $749 assessment cost comes off the price of anything above it.

About

Built by an ex-Meta storyteller.

I spent 10+ years on Meta's marketing team, including the Facebook-to-Meta rebrand, translating complex products into stories that enterprise buyers and investors actually remember. I built the Narrative Diagnostic because I kept watching solid founders lose rounds on the slides, not the business underneath.

Each week I curate what investors are publicly saying about decks: what's working, what's killing momentum, and feed it into the rubric. You get the benefit of that synthesis in 24 hours.

What did the last investor say? Or not say?

The polite pass. The second meeting that never got booked. The feedback that didn't quite add up. That's the signal. The more you tell us in the box below, the sharper the assessment comes back.
